ROA National Council and Leaders Conference The ROA National Council and Leaders Conference was held virtually March 13-14, 2021. We had a great turn out with 116 attendees, representing 34 departments. Nine departments did not attend.
During this meeting, the ExCom approved the FY22 budget, the National Council adopted four new resolutions, committees gave reports, and attendees received informative briefings.
Copies of the briefings are provided below in both PDF and PowerPoint formats. Please feel free to use these slides to brief your departments and chapters.
State of the Association

President Davenport provided a briefing on proposed amendments to ROA’s governing documents. These proposed amendments will go to the 2021 national convention (21-24 October 2021) for approval. Please mark your calendars to attend the upcoming town hall meetings to continue our discussion on the proposed amendments: – Wednesday, 14 April, 7:00 p.m. (eastern)
– Wednesday, 14 July, 7:00 p.m. (eastern)
– Wednesday, 6 October, 7:00 p.m. (eastern) In addition to the briefing, a full report was compiled. The report explains why the governing instruments were under review and the process from beginning to end. It also includes rationales behind each amendment and an appendix with the marked up proposals so you can see the specific changes the report refers to.
