Preliminary Agenda

This year, we're shaking things up and making it better than ever. Get ready to mark your calendars—our exciting event will now run Thursday to Saturday, giving you the perfect balance of inspiration and connection.

But that's not all! We're thrilled to introduce two game-changing additions: the Congressional Breakfast, where you'll enjoy exclusive networking opportunities over a great meal, and the Minute Man Lounge, a vibrant hub for mixing, mingling, and mentoring.

It’s a whole new vibe—don’t miss out!

Department National Council Representative

Each department is encouraged to have a Department National Council Member (DNCM) at this meeting. If your elected/appointed Department National Council Member cannot attend, you may appoint a representative (as allowed by your bylaws). To ensure this person will be able to cast a vote on behalf of the Department, you must notify Diane Markham (dmarkham@roa.org) of the substitution at least one week prior to the conference.

March on the Hill — Advocacy in Action

On Friday, March 14, join your fellow members as we bring ROA’s 2025 legislative priorities directly to Congress. ROA needs you to highlight legislation that affects serving Reserve Component members, retirees, and their families. Don’t miss this opportunity to represent ROA on Capitol Hill.

Consider making appointments prior to your arrival. For contact information, visit www.congress.gov/members.

If you are unable to join your fellow ROA advocates in person on the Hill, be sure to schedule some time to meet with your elected officials in your home state.

 Air Transportation

There are three area airports:

  1. Reagan National Airport. This is your closest option. It is approximately 5.5 miles to ROA. The drive is approximately 12-15 minutes.
  2. Washington Dulles International Airport. It is approximately 30 miles. The drive is approximately 40-45 minutes (depending on time of day).
  3. Baltimore-Washington International Airport. This is the furthest option. It is approximately 40 miles to the ROA building with a drive time of 45-60 minutes (depending on time of day).

Ground Transportation

There are three easy and convenient ways to get around the city:

  1. Metrorail/Metrobus – Metrorail and Metrobus provide the safest, cleanest and most efficient way of getting around Washington, DC and the metropolitan suburbs. The Minuteman Memorial Building is a 15-minute walk from both the Union Station Metro stop (Red line) and Capitol South Metro stop (Yellow/Blue/Silver line). For a map, schedules and fares go to www.wmata.com.
  2. Taxicab – Taxi service is plentiful and economical in DC. In fact, DC has one of the highest taxi-to-citizen ratios in the country, with more than 6,000 taxis servicing the city. Taxis use a metered system just like every other city in the country. To order a cab, plan a trip, or calculate a fare, visit www.dctaxionline.com.
  3. Uber Technologies Inc. – Uber is here to help you get around DC hassle free and in style! Request a ride using the Uber iPhone or Android app.
